With the free photoTAN app, you can securely and quickly authorize transactions in online banking.

How the computer-based photoTAN process works:

You perform a transaction on another device, such as a PC.

Your transaction is automatically transferred to the comdirect photoTAN app, and a notification appears on your smartphone. When you tap on the notification, the photoTAN app opens. Review the transaction and authorize it by sliding the arrow from left to right.

The familiar scanning function of the comdirect photoTAN app remains available. This is recommended, for example, if your smartphone is not connected to the internet. To do this, select the "photoTAN Graphics" photoTAN process on your computer and then open the scanning function on your smartphone in the comdirect photoTAN app, located at the bottom left.

How the App2App process works:

You perform a transaction in another comdirect app. During the authorization process for your transaction, the photoTAN app automatically opens. Confirm your order by sliding the arrow from left to right.

Activating the photoTAN app before first use:

Sign in to your personal area on comdirect with your access number and PIN, and follow the "Activate photoTAN" instructions until the activation graphic is displayed. Download the comdirect photoTAN app onto your smartphone and follow the instructions in the app. Once activated, you can use both of the methods mentioned above.

FAQ "Which permissions does the app use?"

The "Camera" permission is required for the standard procedure to scan the photoTAN graphic.

FAQ "Does the app work with multiple comdirect accounts?"

You can connect the app to up to 8 accounts. For each account, you will need a separate activation letter.
